This SimonsVoss - core protection adapter - Z4.KA has been developed for the assembly of digital locking cylinders on doors with core pull protection fittings. For such fittings, the PZ profile is not milled, which makes this adapter necessary. The core protection adapter has a length of 8 mm and can also be retrofitted.
Note: The core protection adapter is not compatible with the Comfort (CO) locking cylinder. Both in System 3060 and in the MobileKey system!

- Use assembly tool to remove the outer knob.
- Remove the O-ring from the cylinder’s core tube (using a thin screwdriver or Stanley knife). Be careful not to distort the cylinder or damage it in any other way.
- Place the adapter in position and, gripping the inner knob, turn it until it slides fully on to the core tube.
- The crosswise hole of the adapter should now be aligned with the crosswise hole of the core tube.
- Slide the supplied pin, thinner side first, from the side through the adapter hole on which the thread can be seen.
- Use a suitable screwdriver to tighten the pin. Be careful not to destroy the thread.
- After assembly, ensure that no side of the pin is sticking out of the adapter.
- Refit the outer knob.
The core protection adapter is not compatible with the Comfort (CO) locking cylinder. Both in System 3060 and in the MobileKey system!
