WaveNet Multi-Networking is an easy to install "plug-and-play" network

Programming the System 3060 with laptop and SmartCD is practical for objects up to a certain size or customers with a low number of doors, as there are generally only a few changes that need to be made to the configurations of the locking devices. For medium- and large-sized objects that are more frequently confronted with lost keys, authorization of new transponders or organizational changes, repair and maintenance of the lock system is more practical via the network. Not all doors have to be networked for this reason. The entire system can be designed for mixed operation (network/standalone).

WaveNet_DEIn a networked system, not only can all maintenance and programming tasks be performed from one central PC, the current status of the entire network can also be queried. For instance, the locking and door statuses, such as door open - door closed - door unlocked - door locked, battery warning, access list, can be queried centrally. This makes it possible to respond to an event directly from one central location. WaveNet is an easy to install "plug-and-play" network for use in the field of building automation. Due to its wireless installation, it is particularly suitable for the online administration and control of the electronic locking and organization System 3060 by SimonsVoss in existing buildings and can also be deployed in new builds (e.g. for flexible room units).

The transfer of data within a WaveNet network is largely independent of transmission medium. Data can be transferred e.g. via RS485 interfaces, Ethernet interfaces (TCP/IP), USB interfaces, RS232 interfaces, radio interfaces (868 MHz) or WLAN. In summary, one can say that by networking, the entire access control system can be configured and monitored from one central PC. This makes it possible for the user to directly respond to critical situations.

All the advantages at a glance

  • Central system administration
  • Central door monitoring
  • Central control of external systems
  • Signals from other systems can be fed in
  • Event management

Possibilties of networking:

Offline Partially networked Online
The simple, yet reliable option for the less complex locking system. Authorisations and blocked lists are defined in the SimonsVoss Locking System Management (LSM) software and transmitted to a programming device. The device is connected directly to locks in the building. After data are successfully exchanged, the programming device is re-connected to the system administration, where it incorporates confirmation of updated access components into the LSM software. In the case of partial networking, changes are defined in the LSM software and transmitted to gateways in the network. When users enter the radio range of a gateway, the modification data stored here temporarily are automatically transferred to their identification medium. The data are then transmitted to the locking devices the next time the user enters through a door. You have full use of the entire range of features in System 3060 when all components are directly networked – from the system administration software via the gateways through to the locks. Data are exchanged with all networked elements in real time. It is possible to implement uses such as instant blocking of media, emergency release, activation/deactivation via LSM software, remote monitoring of locks and event management (SMS/email).
