SimonsVoss - Digital SmartRelay 3 3063 - Reader

At least one external SimonsVoss - Digital SmartRelay 3 3063 - Reader is required to use the SREL3 ADV system. SmartRelay 3 readers can be ordered separately from the controller. The controller can not read identification media. Instead, up to 3 readers can be connected to the controller via RS-485, which can read both active and passive identification media. After reading, the readers transmit the data to the controller, which checks the authorization of the identification medium and triggers corresponding actions after programming. The reader himself can not trigger any actions and can therefore be placed in less protected areas. In the WP variant, the housing is sealed and protected against splash water. The readers can either be powered by the controller with power or be equipped with its own power supply.

General information about SmartRelay 3 Advanced System

The SimonsVoss - SmartRelais 3 Advanced System is a third-generation system consisting of several networked components that enable intelligent control of closures and third-party systems. The system consists of a controller, at least one external reader and an optional SmartOutput module. The controller is the central component. A service communicates with the LSM database and keeps the controller up-to-date with the database when used as a gateway-without manual updates and time-consuming reprogramming. With the information retrieved from the LSM database and the identification data transmitted by the reader, the controller can match the identification data to the database. Depending on the settings programmed in the controller, different actions are possible, including:

• Assign permissions
• Remove permissions
• Charge time budgets
• Update configuration of ident media
• Switch relay outputs
• Read out lists

The identification media are read by up to three external readers, which may be physically separate from each other and the controller. The reader can read active and passive identification media in the third generation SmartRelay system and send the read information to the controller for evaluation a built-in relay output that can be freely programmed. The system can be expanded with the SmartOutput modules in daisy-chain connection with up to 116 relay outputs, which are also freely programmable.
