SimonsVoss' digital door fitting combines intelligent access control functionality with an elegant and ergonomic appearance. Its slim, flat design hides highly innovative technology. When developing the new SmartHandle 3062 door fitting, the requirements for use in the healthcare sector and in dormitories in particular were taken into account. The SmartHandle 3062 communicates contactlessly with the identification media in the 3060 digital locking and access control system and controls access for up to 64,000 users in place and time, as well as being directly networked online or integrated into a G2-based virtual SimonsVoss network. New standards also set battery replacement cycles of up to 10 years.

DoorMonitoring functions:

The SmartHandle 3062 with DoorMonitoring function (DM) is an electronic door fitting with integrated door monitoring. The integrated door monitoring of the DM cylinder can be realized without cabling the door. The DM-SmartHandle 3062 records the accesses (access lists) and monitors the state and state changes of the door (open, closed, locked, securely locked, tampering and forced opening). The following door states are recorded:

• door open / closed
• door unlocked / securely locked
• alarm

These door states can be transmitted through the Wavenet network to the LSM and displayed there, so that the user can see the door status at a glance. In the LSM software, events can be defined which, in the event of a changing state of a closure, cause a reaction to be defined (for example a pop-up window with warning, e-mail, etc.). In the LSM BASIC (as of version 3.3), alarms can be forwarded to third-party software. All changes including the transponder ID, date and time are saved in the access list, which can then be read out and evaluated by the operator of the locking system or a security officer.
