The SimonsVoss - WaveNet Radionetwork 3065 - RouterNode with protective function for auto-configuration interlink the different network segments with one another in a WaveNet network. Different transmitting media can thus be interconnected with one another (example: a WNM.RN.CR router connects a cable segment [C] with a radio segment [R]). Basically, WaveNet RouterNodes are used to interconnect different network segments, that either share the same transmission medium (e.g. RS485- RS485) or that have different transmission media (e.g. RS485 cable/radio 868 MHz, Ethernet/RS485 or radio 868 MHz, WLAN/RS485 or radio 868MHz).
Further, the data flows coming from the segments are filtered by the WaveNet router node so that only data is forwarded to the segment after the WaveNet route node that is also to be processed in this segment. All other data is therefore blocked by the WaveNet router node for the segment after it. WaveNet router nodes can currently connect the following transmission interfaces between the segments: RS485 CAT 5 cable, Ethernet TCP/IP, USB, RS232 cable, radio 868 MHz, WLAN. Do not mount router nodes with a radio or WLAN interface directly to metal or reinforced concrete! A distance of approx. 30 cm. should be maintained.
