The SimonsVoss - WaveNet Network 3065 - Thumb-turn Cover for auto-configuration incorporates the Lock Node into the metal cover on the electronics side of a locking cylinder. It thus enables direct networking without the need to fit additional Lock Nodes next to the door and you can also dispense with I/Os. The network thumb-turn cover can be retrofitted very easily by replacing the cover on the electronics side of a locking cylinder.
“Network Inside” is also known by the term direct networking. The LockNode required for this is in the knob closing (bottom) of the cylinder knob on the electronic side. LockNode electronics are connected by means of hardware contacts with the TN4 electronics. This enables a network connection to the cylinder without installation on or next to the door. An "offline" cylinder can be retrofitted to an "online" variant, merely by exchanging the knob closing. The range to a Central-or RouterNode amounts to up to 30 meters (depending on the building structure).
